Slideshow: Activists stage protest at Valmont Power Plant


On Thursday, a group of activists were arrested after staging a protest at the Valmont Power Plant in Boulder. They climbed onto the coal pile in front of the plant and rolled out a banner that said “Renewables Now,”along with two cardboard wind turbines.

The activists remained on top of the coal pile for more than an hour before they were taken into custody. Here’s some images from the protest:
