Boulder-based eTown has landed a $2 million loan from Public Radio Capital in Boulder to fund construction of its new offices and its eTown Hall.

Officials from PRC, a public radio-focused nonprofit, announced the loan on Feb. 18.

The funds will go toward renovating a former church, located at 1535 Spruce St. in downtown Boulder, into eTown Hall, which will include a concert hall, studio and offices.

eTown had raised approximately $650,000 of the project’s estimated $4 million cost and plans to continue its capital campaign fund-raising efforts. Remaining construction on the concert hall will move forward later this year.

PRC, which has completed more than $220 million in transactions since its inception in 2001, provided the eTown loan through its Public Radio Fund.
