On Monday, Jan. 25, the Aquinas Institute for Catholic Thought, the intellectual outreach arm of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center, will hold its third annual “Great Debate” at the University of Colorado at Boulder on the topic of same-sex marriage.

Guest speakers Jonathan Rauch and Maggie Gallagher will debate the topic “Should the Government Approve Same-Sex Marriage?” The event starts at 7 p.m. in Macky Auditorium.

Last year’s “Great Debate” featured Dinesh D’Souza and Christopher Hitchens and drew a crowd of more than 2,400 people to hear a debate on “Atheism vs. Religion.”

Tickets are $10 per adult, $5 per student and can be purchased at www.thomascenter.org or any King Soopers. The debate is funded solely by the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center and is not sponsored by the University of Colorado.
