Boulder’s Breadworks is a lot of things — at times a high-end cafeteria with dozens of breakfast and lunch options; other times a comfortable coffee shop in which you can grab a pastry and a hot beverage. But bread’s right there in the name, so you know you’re going to get the good stuff, whether you stop by the Broadway location, order for pickup at the Boulder County Farmers Market or grab a loaf or two from another retailer. Baguettes, batards, boules, ciabiatta loaves, pretzels, quick breads — it’s all there. We grabbed one such quick bread recently, the zucchini bread, which is made with a lot of zucchini, walnuts, brown sugar, sour cream, nutmeg and cinnamon. It’s moist, and bursting with flavor, with little zucchini slivers providing a surprise crunch.
