Zoe Benson, a seventh grader at Platt CHOICE Middle School, is putting together one of Colorado’s largest benefit shows for earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.

Rembrandt Yard donated two floors at its downtown Boulder event center for the show, which will take place on Friday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m. Benson selected Denver band Slopside as the main act, and Streetside Dance has offered to provide a hip-hop and break dance performance.

Local businesses agreed to donate food and drinks, and local restaurant and shop owners are donating silent auction items. The event is expected to draw 200-250 people.

For more information, visit Benson’s website at www.aprilana.com. She has offered to make local charity Colorado Haiti Project the beneficiary.
