Roundup: Roger Ebert's submissions to the 'New Yorker' caption contest

s_bukley /

Like a fine wine, or a not-very-fine wine, or a Roger Corman film, film critic Roger Ebert just gets better with age.

And he's gotten really good since the newspaper he writes for, the Chicago Sun-Times, gave Ebert his own blog to play with.

This week, Ebert pulled together all of the captions he's submitted recently to the New Yorker cartoon caption contest. The famously low-impact humor of the magazine goes well — usually — with Ebert's style, and these are some of the funniest captions I've seen on New Yorker cartoons.

See the list at Roger Ebert's Journal.
