What better way to get into the holiday spirit than with some gingerbread and tea?

St Julien Hotel and Spa has announced the return of Gingerbread Tea events, featuring teas, scones, tea sandwiches, petits fours and gingerbread cookies. The event will also feature music by pianist Ralph Sharon. Children are invited to decorate gingerbread men with one of St Julien’s chefs.

The Gingerbread Tea events will begin Nov. 24 and will be held every Saturday at noon and 2:30 p.m. through Dec. 29, and every Sunday at noon through Dec. 30. A portion of the proceeds from the Gingerbread Tea events will be donated to There With Care, a nonprofit organization that supports the needs of children and families facing critical illness. St Julien will also be collecting items for There With Care’s Wish List, such as diapers, toys, baby wipes and more.

THE THANKSGIVING DINNER HONOR SYSTEM

Do Thanksgiving a little differently this year and head over to Black Cat for a farm-inspired meal created by chef and farmer Eric Skokan.

The difference is, the cost is entirely up to you. A donation box will be set up for guests to pay what they feel their meal was worth, with the option to pay a little extra to help out someone less fortunate. A portion of the proceeds earned from the event will go to Boulder’s Community Food Share.

The event is Thanksgiving starting at 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.blackcatboulder.com.

TEDDY BEARS AND TEA

To kick off Hotel Boulderado’s Holiday Tea Series, the hotel will be holding a Teddy Bear Tea event to benefit The Children’s Hospital.

Starting at noon on Saturday, Nov. 24, each child who attends the event will receive a teddy bear. Children will also be able to select from the children’s tea menu, which includes a choice of some of the fancier tea sandwiches, or the traditional peanut butter and jelly. Gluten-free options are also available. Of each ticket sale, $10 will be donated to The Children’s Hospital. Holiday Tea Series events are held on Saturday and Sunday between noon and 1:30 p.m. through Dec. 23.
