Happy anniversary to Food Lab in Boulder, the cooking school founded in 2015 by Casey Easton. Food Lab is expanding to Denver's Platt Park this summer, at 1250 S. Pearl St.

Currently on the calendar at Food Lab: St. Patrick's Day small plates, Easter brunch and summer camp for kids. Try tasty recipes from Food Lab, including butternut squash soup and goddess slaw with sweet potatoes.

Coming soon: Pearl Poke, 2010 10th St., former home of the relocated Zoe Ma Ma, which moved around the corner to a bigger location just west of the Pearl Street Mall. Owner Edwin Zoe has closed the second Zoe Ma Ma location at 1625 Wynkoop Street in Denver next to Union Station.

Words to Chew On: Hungering for love

“It happens that when I write of hunger, I am really writing about love and the hunger for it, and warmth and the love of it and the hunger for it… It is all one.”
