If there were a season for bluegrass music, it most certainly would be summer. Where better to enjoy both the genre and the season than at Denver’s Botanic Garden, where Hot Rize will be performing their brand of contemporary bluegrass on June 16. Featuring local musicians such as co-founder and host of eTown’s radio show Nick Forster and “Dr. Banjo” Pete Wernick, Hot Rize are back and on tour for the first time since the band’s breakup in 1990. This show is an opportunity for hardcore and casual bluegrass fans alike to see these genre pioneers in action.
