“I cannot fire Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys,” wrote Mike Love in the Los Angeles Times.
Then what, exactly, happened last week, after the original Beach Boys played a reunion show, then Love announced he was continuing on tour without Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks?
Love says it was a logistical move, nothing more. He says the group had tour dates already scheduled in smaller venues, where the original Beach Boys would not be able to perform because of audience demand.
“It is not feasible, both logistically and economically, for the 50th anniversary tour to play these markets,” Love wrote.
