Connor O’Neils (1922 13th St., Boulder) Boulder’s only Irish pub is offering a day of celebration to commemorate its Irish roots. The pub will offer an Outdoor Irish Festival all day, featuring food and music from Trout Steak Revival at 2 p.m. and Tommy & the Tangerines at 5 p.m. There will be Irish dancing at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and bagpipe music at 2 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Stick around until 10 p.m. to hear the sounds of Mumboui.
Hotel Boulderado (2115 13th St, Boulder) Head to the Boulderado for traditional Irish step dancing by the McTeggert Dancers and music by the Irish acoustic string band The Green Party. Enjoy the entertainment with some potato latkes, Shepherd’s pie made with Guinness-braised lamb and, for dessert, bread pudding with a Bailey’s Irish Creme Anglaise.
Mike O’Shays (512 Main St., Longmont) If you’re craving an authentic Irish meal of beef and cabbage, paired with an Irish beer, then look no further than Mike O’Shays. Listen to live music from the Fort Collins Pipe Band, a more than 20-piece bagpipe and drum ensemble.
St. Baldricks’ Day at Celestial Seasonings (4600 Sleepytime Drive, Boulder) Every year around March 17, men and women all over the country shave their heads in an effort to raise money for ending childhood cancer.
