Zpizza opens in Boulder

Zpizza has opened at 1695 29th St., at the Twenty Ninth Street mall.

Zpizza offers affordable, healthy, artisan pizzas, rusticas, pastas, calzones, sandwiches and salads, and the opportunity to create personalized pizzas with a selection of premium ingredients. Additionally, Zpizza has a full catering menu for business lunches, parties, events and any catering needs.

Zpizza is open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 12 to 9 p.m. Delivery is available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 9 p.m., seven days a week. The phone number is 303-545-5222.

The restaurant features 100 percent certified organic wheat flour and sauce prepared every day; gluten-free crust and vegan cheese options; partskim, rBGH free mozzarella from grass-fed cows; and MSG-free and nitrate-free meats.

Self-serve spreading swiftly

Aspen Leaf Frozen Yogurt opened May 2 in the Table Mesa Shopping Center in south Boulder.

The latest addition to the self serve yogurt scene offers more than 16 flavors of locally supplied and all-natural yogurt and more than 70 toppings, including Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory toppings. Aspen Leaf is located at 637 S.

Wine dinner at Arugula

On June 1, Chef Alec Schuler of Arugula Bar e Ristorante will present a wine dinner, pairing five courses with Jack Rabbit Hill organic wines.

Schuler and Jack Rabbit Hill winemaker Lance Hanson will discuss Colorado’s only Demeter-certified biodynamic wine and the five courses.

Highlights include duck liver mousse with grilled sourdough bread and mizuna in gorgonzola dressing, and seared soft-shell crab over sautéed pea shoots and radishes.

Arugula is located at 2785 Iris Ave. in Boulder, and reservations can be made by calling 303-443-5100. The cost is $40 per person, with an optional $25 wine pairing.
