Review: BioShock Infinite’s story ‘overshadows the gameplay’

In the semi-magical, semi-steampunk world of BioShock, you don’t play games, you experience them.

And the first person shooter’s storyline carries the player through the colorful world of Columbia, an airborne territory ruled by Comstock, with ease and with several very shocking twists.

While the story lulls at times, it’s “a triumph of storytelling,” writes Kevin Kelly. His review, linked below, details the not-so-simple setup of apparently good vs. apparently evil and the many ways BioShock Infinite builds on the original BioShock.

Grade: 9.5 out of 10.
