Police Blotter | Woman arrested in baby’s death

Police say the death of the infant was intentional and that the mother, Stephanie Rochester, 34, of Superior, has been arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant. The charges on the arrest warrant are for firstdegree murder and one count of child abuse resulting in death.

Police Blotter | Bullet shot into Boulder home

The 61-year-old male resident told deputies he heard a loud noise outside his home between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. He described the noise as similar to a firecracker. He looked out and saw neighborhood children playing in the street, so thought nothing more of it.

Police Blotter | Follow the paint

On May 18, at approximately 1:05 a.m., police responded to the area of 17th Street and Aurora Avenue after a passer-by discovered a car covered in fresh paint. When they arrived in the area, the officers found five vehicles in a nearby alley and two vehicles on the street with white paint on them.

Police Blotter | Biker hit by car

On May 9, a car hit a bicyclist at Baseline Road and Broadway at around 4:15 p.m. A 35-year-old male bicyclist ran a red light while crossing Broadway going east on Baseline, according to the police report. A Subaru hit the cyclist, causing him to fly off his bike and land on the cars hood.

Cops Crash Campout

At approximately 5:45 p.m. on April 28, deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received a call that seniors from Boulder High School were planning to hold a campout in the mountains west of Boulder. Deputies responded to the area of Gordon Gulch, located on Highway 72 between Nederland and Ward, and found roughly 200 students camping in the area. The deputies remained on scene overnight, because of the number of students and inclement weather conditions to maintain order and provide medical assistance.

Cosmic brownie call

On Thursday, April 15, the Boulder County communications center received a call at 9 p.m. from two adults at an address on Rustic Knolls Dr. who said that they had been poisoned. After the parties were transported to Boulder Community Hospital, they admitted to consuming brownies that were laced with marijuana.

Search, and rescued

Deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Flagstaff Road in Boulder County about a search and rescue case at approximately 2:30 p.m. on April 8, responding to the report of a suicidal female. The 19-year-old woman was located by the Rocky Mountain Rescue, Boulder Fire Department, Boulder County Emergency Services and Pridemark Paramedics off of the trail in the area of the 3.5-mile marker on Flagstaff Road.

According to a Boulder County Sheriff's Office report, pranksters used eggs for more than coloring this holiday season, judging from a case of criminal mischief that occurred sometime on March 25 or March 26. The suspect or suspects allegedly threw eggs at a white limousine at 4776 Heatherwood Ct.

Suspicious chemical

On the night of March 25, the Boulder Police Department, Boulder Fire-Rescue and the Boulder County Hazardous Materials Team removed a suitcase that contained a potentially toxic chemical from a locker at the homeless shelter at the corner of Lee Hill Drive and Broadway.
