Chocolate Blueberry Shortcakes

By Danette Randall
Grenache will work nicely with the blueberries, as Grenache tends to be a bit spicy with a nice berry flavor. I am using Garnacha de Fuego that I picked up at PettyJohns. They are always so helpful and full of knowledge.

No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Bars

By Danette Randall
Turn off your ovens, people. The temperature is hot, and so are my desserts (yes, I complimented myself, whatever). Not this recipe, though. Iím saving on your electricity bill and making your life sweet all at the same time. No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Bars.

Fresh Raspberry Muffins

By Danette Randall
The fresh raspberries give that bit of tartness that blends so well with the brown sugar. Just enough to almost make you pucker, but not enough to make you squint. That is how I judge all my sour-worthy treats, on the pucker and the squint. Sounds like a bad childrenís book, I know, but whatever works.

Key Lime Squares

By Danette Randall
These little squares are creamy bites of heaven ó the grainy, graham-cracker crust adds just the right amount of sweetness to the limes. Iím thinking with the weather forecasters calling for sun this week (and they are never wrong), this should be your go-to recipe.

Almond Apple Pan Dowdy

By Danette Randall
Personally, I like the look of it, and more importantly, I like the taste. An apple-based filling baked with a sweet, crispy crust. The name comes from what happens after the baking process. The lovely hostess takes a fork and dowdies it up, leaving the pieces of pie crust broken and soaking up all the delightful juices of the apples.

Cinnamon Mocha Cake with Mocha Glaze

By Danette Randall
The sweet parfaits were a hit, and actually, this is about more than just reader requests. I am also working with my friend Rod Smith and his coffee company, so for the love of all things coffee, I've worked the delicious beverage into my recipe this week.

Sweetened Cold Coffee Parfaits

By Danette Randall
Parfait is French for perfect, and I think this treat might just measure up to the highest of my coffee-drinking, French-speaking, sweet-toothed friends' standards. Whipped cream, chocolate wafers, sweetened milk and coffee, umm, you might want to make sure you have all night for girl talk, because no one is sleeping after this concoction.

After Dinner Mint Brownies

By Danette Randall
The mint is just 'minty' enough to provide a refreshing finish. For those of you like myself who prefer a heavy mint flavor, enjoying your brownie with a nice snifter of peppermint schnapps works wonders. For you classier folk, please enjoy some Rumple Minz with your dessert.

Blackberry Strawberry Cobbler with Almond Whipped Cream

By Danette Randall
I always love the homemade whipped cream, and adding a bit of pure almond extract to the whipped cream adds that 'wow' factor. Can you tell I bake for a living? Whipped cream gives me a 'wow' factor. I seriously need to get out more. Perhaps someone will invite me over.
