Gluten-free at Whole Foods
The Gluten Free Bistro’s line of products is now available via retail, at Whole Foods Markets.
The line offers an array of gluten-free frozen products, including pizza crust, dough balls, fresh-style penne and fettuccine.
Gluten Free Bistro products are made with 100 percent whole grain flours, providing protein, fiber, minerals, antioxidants and B vitamins with no fortification or enrichment necessary.
The Gluten Free Bistro was founded by three gluten-intolerant Boulderites, two nutritionists and a self-described foodie who were dissatisfied with the gluten-free foods available.

Ghost Face Killah
Twisted Pine Brewing Company has announced the rerelease of chili beer Ghost Face Killah, which the company describes as “the spiciest beer in the world.”
Owner Bob Baile says the idea for the beer was born in response to constant requests from fans of the brewery’s standard chili beer, Billy’s Chilies, for something “hotter.”
“Customers kept asking for more heat, and we were determined to oblige them,” he says.
Ghost Face Killah is an American-style wheat ale, right up until it’s not. Once fermentation is complete, brewers introduce Anaheim, Fresno, jalapeño, serrano, habanero and ghost peppers (called “bhut jolokia”). Due to the extreme nature of the beer, Ghost Face Killah is sold individually in 12-ounce bottles.
Twisted Pine first bottled the beer last May, when it was only available in Colorado.
“We never really planned to mass-produce Ghost Face Killah,” General Manager Jody Valenta says, “but once we made it, everyone wanted some and the orders just came pouring in.”
This time, Ghost Face Killah is slated to appear this month across Colorado, as well as in Texas, New Mexico, Florida, Nebraska, Missouri and Louisiana. For more information, visit www.twistedpinebrewing.com.
Odell turns red
Odell Brewing has released its seasonal Red Ale. The American-style red ale is described by the brewery as “slightly aggressive” and “surprisingly unpredictable.” The brew boasts a ruby hue and a fruity hop flavor with just a hint of pine, pairing well with spicy entrees or tangy goat cheese.
Red Ale will be available January through April within the Fort Collins brewery’s 10-state distributor region.
