Healthy BVSD vending machines
Revolution Foods has announced that it is expanding its business with the launch of healthy vending machines in schools.
After a successful pilot program at approximately seven schools in Denver and Colorado Springs, Revolution Foods has been awarded the contract for the Boulder Valley School District Healthy Vending Program.
In addition to providing students with access to healthier vending machine options, Revolution Foods will donate a percentage of the proceeds from all sales back to the schools.
Falafel King creates new brand
A local café and natural foods company, Falafel King, Inc., has launched “Life is … SABABA ,” a brand of low-calorie dips.
SABABA is a kosher and vegan line of seven varieties of hummus, dips and salsas, each with no added oils or artificial ingredients. All are low in fat and cholesterol.
The SABABA line is sold at regional Whole Foods Markets and Alfalfa’s Market.
Boulder Granola gets organic certification
Boulder Granola has been awarded organic certification from California Certified Organic Farmers, a USDA National Organic Program.
Boulder Granola is one of the only companies to offer USDA-certified organic granola, and every ingredient in its products is organic.
Amaro and Tangerine gift certificates
Amaro and Tangerine restaurants are offering instant gift certificates on their websites. A gift certificate can be printed out at home when purchased on arugularistorante.com or tangerineboulder.com.

In other Amaro news, the restaurant has announced an earlier closing time. It will close at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and will close at 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
In addition, there will not be a wine dinner during the month of December.
