Colorado Mountain Ranch asks for tree donations

0

Colorado Mountain Ranch, the Gold Hill establishment nearly decimated by the Fourmile Canyon fire, is deep in the process of rebuilding lost structures and cleaning up the mess left by the flames. The Walker family, longtime owners of the ranch, are now asking the community for donations to help during the holiday season.

The Walker daughters are asking friends, family and well-wishers to send an ornament to help personalize their parents’ Christmas tree. They ask that interested donors sign the ornament, perhaps with a permanent marker, and decorate the ornament.

Those willing to give a gift that will last a lifetime can opt to donate a tree. The Walkers, determined to replant the trees torched by the fire, are asking for $75 to $100 donations to buy evergreen and aspen trees. They plan to host a planting day in the spring, when people can come help plant all the donated trees. The Walkers plan to commemorate the generosity of donors with a plaque to be posted somewhere on the ranch.

You can send ornaments and/or checks to The Walker Family, Colorado Mountain Ranch, 10063 Gold Hill Road, Boulder, CO 80302.
