Pioneers: Women Artists in Boulder, 1890-1950, a CU on the Weekend Program at CU Boulder

1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building, Butcher Auditorium, Boulder.

Women have played an integral role in the development of culture in Boulder since the 1800s, and CU wants to tell you about it. The first lecture of the humanities-focused CU on the Weekend program is free and open to the public and aims to introduce people to women’s art and show how it improved the lives of others. Presented by Kirk Ambrose, professor and chair of art and art history, the lecture is designed to engage attendees in a conversation about why this art still has a function in society. Come see local historical art and hear why it matters.
