ANOTHER HILLARY CLINTON BS FEST

Hillary Clinton’s presidential aspirations are toast… or at least they should be. For progressives and any Democrat who views politics as something more important than a sport where winning trumps democracy, her press conference to answer questions on why she hid her Secretary of State emails from the public and government oversight should be the final straw.

The former Secretary was unable or refused to answer the important questions while claiming she did it for convenience sake and suggesting we should all just trust her. What a crock.

The main question that most news outlets wanted answered — were Clinton’s emails subject to Freedom of Information requests as they should have been and would have been had she not withheld them from the public? — wasn’t addressed at all during the press conference. However, the state department did confirm that the emails were not searched under FOIA between the time she left office and when the department made her give them some 55,000 pages that she selected for release. Translation: no.

Next, Clinton said that the laws in place when she was Secretary allowed her to use her private email for official business. WOW, ding, ding, ding! She told the truth… well, more of a half-truth really, this is Hillary Clinton after all. While it’s true she could use her private email for state department business, this was only allowed (and here’s the part that she must have forgotten) if she was able to “ensure that federal records sent or received on such [private email] systems are preserved in the appropriate agency record-keeping system.” That rule has been in effect since 2009. Strike two.

And finally, she promised us that she turned over every single work-related email to the State Department as part of her 55,000-page release. In other words, she decided what went into the public record; not the State Department; not the Justice Department; not the president.

As part of her undying service to we little people, Clinton selflessly provided all of her own oversight.

So, can we untrusting types look at what she didn’t turn over just to make sure she didn’t hide anything?

Nope. She now says she deleted all the other stuff, some 32,000 additional emails.

No kidding. If any of us did that, the government would stick us in prison, which a lot of Dems are beginning to think is a more appropriate housing solution for Ms. Clinton than a return to the White House.

And Hillary, we are not part of a vast right-wing conspiracy. We are the party base who desperately want you to go away because YOU are the right-wing conspiracy.

WHERE THE WIND COMES SWEEPING DOWN THE PLAIN

And now from the state that tried to make hoodies illegal as a means of preventing cops from shooting young unarmed black kids comes this little jewel.

Tapes of white frat boys at the University of Oklahoma singing incredibly racist songs went public and viral this week. The fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, has been tossed from the campus along with a couple of expelled student stars from the tape. The rest of the student body has been protesting the racism of these idiots for days now. But if you want the rest of the story, you have to tune in and listen to Oklahoma talk radio. Wow, that even sounds scary just writing it.

So what is the primary concern being voiced by the reddest state’s rank and file to this most recent racist horror show?

Recruiting. The whole state is worried that OU football will suffer if black athletes think twice about living in a place where stupidity is apparently being nurtured into full-blown racism. Could explain why OU head coach Bob Stoops called off practice to lead his team in a protest march around campus.

It’s good to know that in Oklahoma, racism and trigger-happy cops shooting black kids aren’t the problem. The problem is football recruiting and hoodies.
