Rocky Mountain Jewgrass

7:30 p.m. Saturday Jan. 24, The Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut St., Boulder, 303-440-7826.

When looking at one music genre through the lens of another, the result becomes its own unique entity. When bluegrass meets Jewish music the result is Colorado’s own Rocky Mountain Jewgrass. The band is made up of artists who have been playing music for decades and has a tongue-in-cheek approach to their music, with songs like “Jews Don’t Camp” and “Thank God I’m a Jewish Boy.” Watch them take the stage at The Dairy on Jan. 24 and enjoy songs about common problems facing the Jewish community, including JDate woes and the “Yom Kippur Blues.” Tickets are $15.
