William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead. Theater Company of Lafayette, Mary Miller Theater, 300 E. Simpson St., Lafayette, 720-209-2154.

Through April 26.

What do you get when you combine poetry with zombies? William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead. John Heimbuch devised the witty dramatic comedy that imagines what would have happened if all of the victims of the black plague didn’t actually die, but turned into the “living dead.” The Theater Company of Lafayette celebrates Shakespeare’s 450th birthday with their production of the play. Shakespeare and horror nerds alike won’t want to miss this rendition of the bloody, Elizabethan zombie apocalypse.
