Outdoors networking
by Lindsey Frank

If you are an adventure enthusiast eager to meet others who share your love for sports and adventure, visit myoutdoorspace.com.
A social networking site for outdoor sports-lovers, myoutdoorspace.com is a great place to talk about adventures, show pictures of conquests and meet others to participate in the next outing.

After joining the site, you can create a profile that provides basic information, such as name, occupation, interests, hobbies and a photograph — if you choose. The profile also asks for preferred weather condition, best outdoor accomplishment, favorite quote and favorite outdoor gear. If you can’t think of an answer to one of the questions, just skip it and come back later.

Users have the ability to “friend others” (similar to sites like Facebook and Myspace) and communicate through the site. You can post stories about your latest adventure and upload photos and videos for others to view. Friends can also comment on posted items.

Myoutdoorspace.com also offers links to outdoor-sports blogs maintained by its users. You can search the blogs for a specific topic by entering a keyword. This is a great way to easily find blogs written by people with similar interests to you.

If you don’t want to search through specific people’s profiles or blogs, try visiting the forum page. This offers posts about many topics (varying from product reviews to requests for tips and advice), and users are free to comment and discuss.
