BookTalk: Never too old for the summer of love
Though Jimi doesn’t make an appearance in this near-future satire, the author has fun with his surviving fans. The year is 2022 (the year Jimi would’ve turned 80), and strait-laced retiree Guy Fontaine moves into the Mission Pescadero nursing home where housemates include aged hippies and former radicals. Tune in to find out what nursing homes have in common with high school and what the drug of choice is if you’re 80. This book is now available in paperback. Tim’s newest book is Rowdy in Paris.

T.U.C. Radio: The Threat of War on Iran
When Daniel Ellsberg released the Pentagon Papers in 1971 they revealed the U.S. government’s lies about the war on Vietnam. Thirty-five years later Ellsberg received the Right Livelihood Award, the so-called alternative Nobel Prize, for dedicating his life to inspiring others to follow his example.
For the past 6 years, Ellsberg has campaigned against the exercise of executive power by the Bush administration. He calls for action to end presidential violations of the constitution and to prevent an expansion of the war in the Middle East and an attack on Iran. He urges government insiders to come up with the new set of Pentagon papers, to act now and not wait until they write their memoirs. The American public needs to see the current attack plans on Iran in order to prevent a terrible expansion of the war in the Middle East.
