The Toronto-based author and her husband, Jeffrey Alford, met in Tibet in 1985. Since then they have co-authored a half dozen coffee-table travel-story cookbooks. This one, some say, is perhaps the most beautiful of all because it includes hundreds of the authors’ photos of remote areas of China. As is always true with this team’s cookbooks, they use their own recipes to reflect the local food culture. As for their solo travel stories, listen for the tale of the yurt. This book is published by Artisan.
